Dennis Black, PhD, is the founder of Gulf-Pacific Econometrics and AI, a consulting firm specializing in applied econometrics, market research, risk analytics, and machine learning and AI solutions that drive data-informed business decisions.

Dr. Black brings a unique combination of academic and industry experience, having taught mathematics, statistics, and economics at the university level, including courses in calculus, mathematical statistics, experimental design, macroeconomics, and money and banking.

His work includes the design and analysis of customer satisfaction surveys and market research studies to assess customer behavior, market opportunities, and business feasibility.

In addition to his academic work, he has developed and applied quantitative models in banking and finance, including credit risk models such as Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), and Exposure at Default (EAD).

His approach focuses on translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic planning, risk management, and operational decision-making.

Dr. Black holds a Master of Science in Statistics, a Master of Science (Mathematics), and a PhD (Economics), with over 30 years of experience applying advanced analytics to real-world business problems.
